Sean Spicer On When They Knew Trump Was Going To Win The Election

“We were sitting all night in the war room and we had all the networks on and it was a bunch of these counties that we should have done well but we were over performing in, there was a couple of counties in Wisconsin that Obama had won 51 to 47, 52 to 48 and we are looking at them and going Trump 52 to 48 for Hillary… When I saw Virginia as close as it was and I saw Pennsylvania and Michigan…and in county after county …they weren’t hitting their numbers in a lot of places and we were with ours…. Everybody got a little like, let’s be careful here because it’s looking good and we were trying to figure out if there is going to be another shoe to drop or is this where it goes and it kept getting better and better and better.”

Sean Spicer, Communications Director of the RNC, called into Kilmeade & Friends to discuss Donald Trump’s Election Day victory and how over performing in Wisconsin, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Michigan led them to believe they would win. Spicer also spoke about the misconception that the Trump campaign’s ground game was lacking, the media pandering to the anti-Trump protesters, Trump meeting with President Obama today and how the entire Bush 43 transition team set the gold standard in showing how amazing this country is when it comes to the peaceful transition of power.
