World War II Vet Celebrates 100th Birthday
A World War II veteran celebrates a big birthday.
FOX’s Pam Puso has more:
When he turned 100 over the weekend, John Sekulich was surrounded by family in Denver. The World War II Army veteran took part in the bloodiest battle, fought by Americans, The Battle of the Bulge:
(Sekulich) “It was rough at times, it was rough, but we made it alright, thank goodness.”
Sack-o-litch says not a day goes by that he doesn’t think of his service:
(Sekulich) “Someday’s we didn’t take our shoes off for two-three days. But I still didn’t have it as bad as some of the fellas did.”
Relatives like his niece credit his active lifestyle with keeping him sharp:
(Niece) “Doesn’t forget a thing and he’s just a great man.”
