FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:
(Caray) “Sure as God made green apples, someday the Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World Series.”
After 108 years of waiting the Chicago Cubs are World Series champions.
A new viral Budweiser ad honors legendary Cubs announcer Harry Caray, who passed away 18 years ago without ever seeing the team win a World Series.
The company created a mashup of clips, showing fans reacting to the win, editing Caray’s voice in to make it sound like he was calling the final out of Game 7:
(Caray) “There’s the throw, he is out. Cubs win! Cubs win!”
Budweiser shared the clip on Facebook with the caption “Harry, they did it. The impossible is possible.”
The tearful tribute gaining millions of views.
