John Kasich Votes Republican, But Not for Trump

Ohio Governor John Kasich makes good on his promise not to vote for Donald Trump.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports:

The former Republican Presidential candidate wrote in GOP Senator John McCain’s name for President on his absentee ballot, rather than vote for the party’s nominee. Senator McCain unsuccessfully ran for the White House in 2008.

Governor Kasich refused to endorse Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention, which his state hosted. He defended that decision on FOX News:

(Kasich) ”It’s not on me as to how Donald Trump does in Ohio. It’s on him. It’s on him as to how he does in the country.”

Kasich’s spokesman confirmed he also opted for a straight Republican ticket down ballot.
