A reward offered decades ago has just been claimed.
FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:
Found half buried in the sand in Turks and Caicos:
(The Police) ”A message in a bottle.”
An old Coke bottle cast into the sea more than 50 years ago in New Hampshire:
(The Police) I’ll send an SOS to the world.”
Actually, it wasn’t an SOS, what the Utah man found was what Paula Pierce calls a joke her father had fun with. He wrote a note that read return to 419 Ocean Boulevard and receive a $150 reward from Tina, owner of The Beachcomber, a now-closed motel in Hampton Beach her parents owned.
Cliff Buffington did return the note in person. Her parents are no longer alive, so she gave him his $150.
