WikiLeaks: Top Clinton Aide Mocked Catholics

Emails exposed by WikiLeaks show a top Hillary Clinton spokeswoman mocked Catholics.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

In an email exchange, Jennifer Palmieri, now the Clinton campaign’s communications director, said that politically conservative Catholics think Roman Catholicism is the most socially acceptable religion, adding their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became Evangelicals.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told FOX & Friends the email shows more about how Clinton really feels about certain Americans:

(Conway) ”What do all the Catholics out there feel about that? Now if I’m Donald Trump today I’m just going to stand at that podium and read from these emails.”

The email exchange happened in 2011 between Palmieri and John Halpin with the Center for American Progress.
