Voter Registration Extended in Florida

People in Florida have more time to register to vote.

FOX’s Chris Foster reports:

The voter registration deadline in Florida is now October 18, next Tuesday, extended a week because of Hurricane Matthew.

It had been extended one day by the same federal judge. The Florida Democratic party filed a lawsuit last weekend after the storm hit, arguing for an extension with so people forced from their homes or dealing with flooding and power outages.

Republican Governor Rick Scott turned down their request, but didn’t fight it in court.
