Pope Francis won’t Interfere with U.S. Election

Hillary or Trump? Pope Francis tells American Catholics unsure of how to vote to study the issues and pray.

A diplomatic Pope Francis telling journalists on route home from Azerbaijan that ”the people are sovereign” and he will not interfere in the U.S. or any electoral campaign.

The 79-year-old Argentinean said Catholics unsure of whether to vote for Republican candidate Donald Trump or the Democrat Hillary Clinton should study the issues, pray and “vote with your conscience.”

Earlier however, on a trip last year from from Mexico the Pope was asked about Trump’s plan to build a wall and said, “anyone who builds walls is not Christian.”
