Bills RB LeSean McCoy Sued by Off-Duty Officers for Bar Fight

A pair of Philadelphia police officers are suing an NFL star.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

The two officers were off-duty when they were injured in a brawl involving Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy in a Philadelphia nightclub in February.

The lawyer for Darnell Jessie and Roland Butler says McCoy beat one of them, kicking him while he was on the ground, and punched the other in the eye, both of them suffering serious and permanent injuries.

McCoy’s attorney has said he was only trying to break up a fight between his friends and the officers and Philadelphia district attorney Seth Williams declined to prosecute the former Eagles star on criminal charges:

(Williams) “We had no sufficient evidence to know who initiated it.”

The officers are seeking monetary damages in the civil suit from McCoy, two other men and the nightclub.
