CMT names top country artists and Miranda Lambert announces a new album, while she stops her current tour for health reasons.

FOX’s Michelle Pollino has this week’s “FOX Country”:

CMT’s ’Artists of the Year’ list has two new names on it..

Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton join Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, and Luke Bryan. The Country Television Network also announced that Kelsea Ballerini will receive an award for ‘Breakout Artist of the Year’.

Now this is Stapleton’s and Rhett’s first-time on the list, although Stapleton took home the ‘Breakout Artist of the Year’ award last year. This years ceremony airs Oct. 20.

‘The Weight of These Wings’ is the name of the new album coming from Miranda Lambert, the singer announcing the news via social media…

In the video tweeted out, Miranda is sitting in her trailer back to the camera, it floats over her shoulder revealing she is writing in a diary, the camera then does a close up on the words: ‘The Weight of the Wings’ November 18.

Vice, the first song released from the album, the hit the country radio July 18, meantime the singers “Keeper of the Flame Tour” will end a bit earlier because Lambert has been put on vocal rest.
