The Republican Speaker of the House is again, distancing himself from things the Republican nominee has said.

FOX's Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

House Speaker Paul Ryan disagrees with what is being viewed as Donald Trump's praise of Russian President Vladmir Putin's leadership:

(Ryan) "Vladmir Putin is an aggressor who does not share our interests."

When presented with a list of controversial comments from Trump and his campaign chief, Ryan said his job is not a pundit to comment on every little thing and when pressed on whether he's still comfortable with Trump as Commander-in-Chief:

(Ryan) "I'll leave it at that."

Ryan did not mention any plans to campaign with or for Trump, instead, saying his focus is on keeping a GOP majority in Congress, arguing that will help Republicans up and down the ticket.
