Ryan Fields Tough Questions about Trump… Again
The Republican Speaker of the House is again, distancing himself from things the Republican nominee has said.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:
House Speaker Paul Ryan disagrees with what is being viewed as Donald Trump’s praise of Russian President Vladmir Putin’s leadership:
(Ryan) “Vladmir Putin is an aggressor who does not share our interests.”
When presented with a list of controversial comments from Trump and his campaign chief, Ryan said his job is not a pundit to comment on every little thing and when pressed on whether he’s still comfortable with Trump as Commander-in-Chief:
(Ryan) “I’ll leave it at that.”
Ryan did not mention any plans to campaign with or for Trump, instead, saying his focus is on keeping a GOP majority in Congress, arguing that will help Republicans up and down the ticket.
