SpaceX Test Goes Up in Flames
A routine test before the launch of a SpaceX rocket goes all wrong.
FOX’s Eben Brown has more from Miami:
SpaceX, the private launched company owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk, was testing it unmanned Falcon-9 rocket, at a leased launch pad at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station when it exploded, causing a big cloud seen for miles. Nobody was hurt.
They were contracted to launch an Israeli communications satellite on Saturday, but it has been completely lost. SpaceX is one of two companies flying cargo for NASA to the international space station.
They’re also contracted to start flying astronauts to the station next year.
