The hacker known as "Guccifer" is going to jail.
FOX's Jon Decker reports:
A federal judge has sentenced Marcel Lazar, the Romanian hacker known as "Guccifer" to 52 months in federal prison for hacking dozens of prominent Americans.
It was Lazar's disclosure of email correspondence between Hillary Clinton and her former aide Sidney Blumenthal that revealed that Clinton maintained a private server, leading to an FBI investigation.
While federal prosecutors sought a sentence of at least four years, Lazar's attorney asked for three years, citing Lazar's cooperation with the FBI. The judge's sentence of more than five years, reflects the seriousness of the charges against Lazar.
