Orlando Health Won’t Seek Money from Pulse Nightclub Victims

The hospital system in Orlando says it will not send any bills for care to victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting.

FOX’s Eben Brown reports from Miami:

Orlando Health, the agency operating many of the area’s hospitals including the main trauma center which received most of the victims of the mass shooting earlier this year at Pulse Nightclub says no patient will be asked for money for the care they received after surviving the attack last June.

The hospital say it will seek reimbursement from insurance carriers, federal and state funds, Medicaid and even donated funds instead of billing patients. Their total unreimbursed costs are greater than $5 million.
