‘The Departed’ Series Coming to a TV Near You
An adaptation of an Oscar winning Martin Scorcese film is coming to a small screen near you.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
‘The Departed’ is coming to Amazon, the streaming service is developing an adaptation of the Oscar-winning 2006 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film was nominated for six Oscars and took home one, best director for Martin Scorsese:
(The Departed) “There are parts of my job I can’t talk to you about… You are trouble.. You don’t know the half of it.”
‘The Departed’ TV series will be set in present-day Chicago, instead of Boston like the movie. In it, a young cop goes undercover to infiltrate a ruthless Latino gang. ‘The Departed’ is the latest in a long string of movies to adapted for the small screen, which include ‘Lethal Weapon’ and ‘The Exorcist’.
