McDonald’s Fitness Plan Leaves Kids with Rashes

An attempt by McDonald’s to present a healthier image has fallen flat.

    FOX’s Kathleen Maloney reports:

Most people associate McDonald’s with fattening food, not fitness. The burger chain tried to tweek that image by including activity trackers in its Happy Meals for kids.

They attach to the wrist, like watches and count the number and pace of the wearers steps. But instead of getting kids moving. The bands gave some of them rashes, according to complaints by parents.

The company is investigating the skin irritations and offering kids an alternative toy.
