State Department Approves Arms Sale to Saudi Arabia
The State Department has approved a $1.15 billion arms sale to Saudi Arabia.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
The State Department has signed off on a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a variety of equipment, including close to 300 battle tanks and 20 armored vehicles.
In approving the sale, the State Department said it will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a strategic regional partner.
Alluding to Israel and Iran, the State Department said the proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.
