Dutch Gymnast Sent Home from Rio Olympics

More troubles for athletes at the Rio Olympics, two have been arrested, and now at least two have been sent home.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig has more on the latest dismissal from Olympic Park:

The Dutch team has sent gymnast Yuri van Gelder home for breaking team rules by going out drinking on Saturday night. van Gelder has a history of drug use, serving a one-year ban, and then being dropped from the 2010 World Championships after admitting to using cocaine.

The 33-year-old was once the world champion on rings and was scheduled to take part in the individual finals on rings here in Rio, but left the athletes village on Saturday night and broke team rules that ban drinking during competitions.

The head of the Dutch contingent calling it awful, but says the behavior is unacceptable.
