Delta Lifts Ground Stop Following Power Outage

Delta Air Lines officials say a worldwide ground stop has been lifted.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

Delta says the ground stop has been lifted and limited departures are resuming, but it’s warning passengers there will still be delays and cancellations.

There are long lines, as delayed passengers try to re-book and keep their cool:

(Woman) “It’s a little concerning. I’m hoping that they’re going to put me on a different airline. I need to go see my client.”

(Woman) “You just kinda allow enough time… Today is kind of a freak thing.”

A power outage in Atlanta is being blamed for the stop. Delta is waiving fees for rescheduled travel within a certain time frame.

Among the things affected by the outage: flight status systems, that includes airport screens incorrectly showing flights on time.
