Brave Vietnam Vet Receives Distinct Honor

The President honors a brave American soldier from the Vietnam War with the Congressional Medal of Honor.

FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:

49 years after a daring rescue mission which involved flying a damaged, overloaded helicopter through intense enemy fire, retired Army Lt. Col. Charles Kettles received the Medal of Honor today from the President:

(Obama) “And because of that heroism, 44 American soldiers made it out that day.”

Kettles, who is now 86-years-old, said he’s especially proud that the men he rescued 49 years ago are not names on the wall at the Vietnam memorial.
