Relief Arrives for Lakegoers

One lake in Arkansas is making it easier for when nature calls.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

It’s a problem swimmers have always dealt with, where do you go when you gotta go?

Well on Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas, you don’t have to go far, just use a floating bathroom:

(Ferguson) “Anything that can help prevent human waste from going into the water will ultimately make this lake a better water source for the public.”

Amanda Ferguson is a marina employee in Heber Springs where that lake is a source of drinking water, so keeping people from relieving themselves as they swim or boat is a priority.

Port-a-potties in the middle of a lake aren’t new. They’re already in place elsewhere, but they have two now on Greers Ferry and hope to add six more.
