Veterans Demand to Meet with Trump
A group of veterans today demanded to meet with presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump to discuss what they say is his hate-filled comment against many groups.
FOX’s Gurnal Scott has the story:
The veterans, who are also gay and lesbian, say they are angry at Donald Trump’s rhetoric advocating among other things profiling of Muslims. Ramond Curtis says as a gay veteran he fears the paranoia that he says Trump has aimed at Muslims could soon target gays as well:
(Curtis) We must stop the hate and the fear that Donald Trump is using. We owe it to every American that has lost their lives to that same kind of hate.
The veterans pointed to the Orlando nightclub tragedy as an example of how hate can spread and how words from someone with Trump’s profile can add to it.
