Michigan Dog Lover Cited by Police after Adoption Photo Goes Viral

A Michigan dog lover was cited by police Monday for allegedly violating his town’s ban on keeping pit bulls after he posted a photo of him and the animal on Facebook.

    FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:

Dan Tillery of Waterford Township Michigan posted a picture to Facebook of him and his adopted dog Diggy, both smiling from ear to ear. The picture shared by thousands led to a door knock last week and the police telling Tillery that he was in violation of a town ordinance that bans pit bulls, though Tillery, even the local dog rescue saying Diggy’s an American Bulldog with the paperwork to prove it.

Though Tillery was fined $500 Monday after telling police he’s keeping the dog and weighing his options.
