Penguins Hoist Second Stanley Cup in Seven Years

The Pittsburgh Penguins hoisted their second Stanley Cup in seven years on Sunday night.

For the fourth time in team history and the first time in seven years: 

(Lange) “The 2016 Stanley Cup Champions… The Pittsburgh Penguins!”

Mike Lange called it on the Penguins radio network. Pittsburgh beat the San Jose Sharks 3-1 to claim the Cup in six games.

Kris Letang scored the go-ahead goal for the Penguins, whose Sidney Crosby won the Conn Smythe trophy as playoffs MVP last night in San Jose.
