CMT Awards Air Tonight!

The CMT Awards kick off summer tonight and it looks like the show ‘Nashville’ will have a new home.

The red carpet starts streaming at 6 p.m. Central on CMT.com for the CMT Awards. FOX sportscaster Erin Andrews and Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt hosting the show.

Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett lead the night with the most nominations for this year’s. 

Underwood received nods for ‘Video of the Year’, ‘Female Video of the Year’ and ‘CMT Performance of the Year’. Rhett, has nominations for ‘Video of the Year’ and ‘Male Video of the Year’ as well as for CMT social superstar.

Stapleton earned ‘Video of the Year’, ‘Breakthrough Video of the Year’ and ‘CMT Performance of the Year’ for “Nobody to Blame”.

Artists scheduled to perform include Blake Shelton and the Oak Ridge Boys, Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris.

And ‘Nashville’ fans, it looks like we will have a fifth season, the Hollywood Reporter saying CMT may be the network where the show lands.
