Bernie Sanders Seeks a Recount in Kentucky Primary

Underdog Democratic Candidate Senator Bernie Sanders wants a recount in Kentucky after a narrow defeat in the state’s primary last week.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more:

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton won Kentucky’s presidential primary by about 2,000 votes, less than one percent of the ballots cast.

A senior adviser to Bernie Sanders now confirms to FOX the campaign is requesting a recount.

Democrats divide delegates proportionally, so Clinton and Sanders split evenly, the pledged delegates at stake and it’s unlikely even a narrow Sanders win would change that tally.

But, Sanders has been putting pressure on super-delegates. Party leaders free to support any candidate after a string of victories.
