Top ISIS Leader Abu Wahib Killed in Iraq
A top ISIS leader is dead after a coalition airstrike in Iraq.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Abu Wahib and three others were killed when their vehicle was struck. Wahib was a former member of al-Qaida in Iraq and has appeared in Islamic State execution videos.
There have been unconfirmed reports in the past suggesting he was targeted by strikes, but this is the first time the Pentagon has said he was killed. The news comes as Iraqi ground forces prepare to retake the city of Mosul, the largest Iraqi city still under ISIS control since the group swept through nearly two years ago.
