More People Prefer Happy Hour at Home than at the Bar

Bad news for bar owners. Many of us would rather take happy hour at home.

    FOX’s John Saucier reports:

Bars and restaurant owners aren’t too happy with customers, now a days. Why? Well a study finds that more people prefer to do happy hour at home:

(Female) “If I’m going to have like a couple drinks, I prefer to buy a bottle and then go home because it’s much cheaper.”

According to a survey from the wine app Vivino now more than ever drinkers would rather sip wine or other booze at home.

Vivino surveyed over 1,500 U.S. consumers and found that 47% of millennial and 61% of Generation X and baby boomer prefer to hit the bottle on their couch rather than at social gatherings, restaurants or at the bar.
