Presumptive GOP Presidential nominee Donald Trumps is trying to unite the Republican party.

FOX's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

House Speaker Paul Ryan is feeling ambivalent about Trump being the presumptive nominee:

(Ryan) "He needs to be congratulated for an enormous accomplishment."

But Speaker Ryan tells CNN he's not ready to endorse Trump yet, at the same time, he's calling on the Republican party to unite.

Trump told FOX and Friends he's surprised by Ryan's remarks and said he's brought millions into the party:

(Trump) "The Republican party is the talk of the world because there's no place and no party that's increasing its scope like we have."

Trump says he's planning to meet with Ryan next week.

"Having both said we need to unify the party, Speaker Ryan has invited Donald Trump to meet with members of the House Republican leadership in Washington on Thursday morning to begin a discussion about the kind of Republican principles and ideas that can win the support of the American people this November. The Speaker and Mr. Trump will also meet separately, along with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus."
