Walt Disney Cruise Ship Rescues Three Wanted U.S. Fugitives
A Walt Disney cruise ship picked up three stranded people off the coast of Cuba, who turned out to be wanted U.S. fugitives.
FOX’s Eben Brown reports from Miami:
26-year-old Luis Rivera-Garcia, 23-old Juliet Estrada-Perez and 23-year-old Enrique Gonzalez-Torres were all wanted in New Orleans for skipping out on their supervised release on federal credit card fraud charges.
And they were found last Thursday clinging to a raft in waters off Cuba’s northern coast by the crew of the Disney Fantasy cruise ship. They were dropped off with authorities in Florida.
It is believed the three people were attempted to flee the U.S. to Cuba to avoid prosecution. They’re now in jail.
