Paul Ryan Wants No Part of His Name in a Presidential Race

House Speaker Paul Ryan doesn’t want Republicans to view him as a “white knight” in the party’s race for President.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports:

If no Republican candidate gets the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the party’s nomination, there would likely be an open convention this summer, raising more speculation about a new candidate entering the scene.

Speaker Ryan has shot down rumors before and now he tells “America’s Newsroom”:

(Ryan) ”I don’t think it’s right for a person, myself or anybody else, to parachute in, who never ran for the job, wasn’t on the ballot in one state, in one primary, in one caucus, to all of the sudden get the nomination.”

Speaker Ryan said if his name is on the ballot at an open convention, he’ll ask the GOP to remove it.
