TSA Seizes Multiple Firearms Across Airports

It was a record-breaking week for the Transportation Security Administration, which seized dozens of firearms at airports across the nation.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Airport screeners found more than 70 firearms in carry-on bags last week, and most of them were loaded.

The Pittsburgh Tribune Review reports that more than two-dozen of them had a round in the chamber. Two loaded guns were seized at Boston Logan airport. Weapons were found at other airports, including Raleigh-Durham, Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix and Detroit.

It’s against the law to carry firearms in carry-on luggage, but people are allowed to stow them in checked baggage if they are unloaded and declared to the airline before the flight departs. The previous record was 68 guns.
