Wrestling Superstar ‘Chyna’ Dead at 45
The WWE has lost a superstar.
FOX’s Tom Graham has details:
Her real name Joanie Laurer, but her fans knew her best by her nickname inside the ring:
(Howard Finkel) “The World Wresting Federation Women’s champion, Chyna!”
While Laurer, aka Chyna, faced off against female opponents, she also became the first woman to enter several male dominated events:
(Chyna) “You want a piece of me, come on and get you some.”
Participating in the WWE’s Royal Rumble and King of the Ring. Laurer was also a well-known body builder and adult film star.
She publicly battled substance abuse, even appearing on ‘VH1’s Celebrity Rehab’, found dead at her Fedondo Beach, California home Wednesday.
