Donald Trump’s Expanding His Campaign Team in D.C.

The Republican presidential frontrunner is expanding his team in D.C. as part of an effort to win over lawmakers.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Donald Trump believes he can unify a fractured Republican party, saying after a meeting with RNC chairman Reince Preibus last week:

(Trump) “We’re leading by a lot we have far and away the most delegates millions more votes than anybody else.”

But Texas Senator Ted Cruz has had the advantage at local conventions, picking up six delegates in Colorado this week and adding to his delegate totals after district conventions in North Dakota, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Trump’s allies here in Washington are holding meetings next week to recruit supporters and ready a delegate strategy of their own.
