Paris Attacker Salah Abdeslam Put on Terrorist Sanctions List
The mastermind behind the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris last November gets a special designation from the State Department.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
The State Department has designated Salah Abdeslam as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist.
As a result of this designation, all property subject to U.S. jurisdiction in which Abdeslam has any interest is blocked and American citizens are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with him.
Abdeslam, an operative from ISIS, was captured three weeks ago in a police raid in Belgium, and charged with ‘terrorist murder’ for his role in the Paris attacks that killed 130 people and injured over 350.
Witnesses identified Abdeslam as the driver of a car full of gunmen that killed patrons at numerous Paris restaurants.
