Erik Bauersfeld, Voice of ‘Star Wars’ Admiral Ackbar, Dead at 93

A voice from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away has now fallen silent.

FOX’s Rich Denison explains:

You might not recognize his name, but his three words made him a legend for ‘Star Wars’ fans:

(Admiral Ackbar) “It’s a trap.”

Erik Bauersfeld, the voice behind Admiral Ackbar in ‘Return of the Jedi’ has died. He was 93.

Bauersfeld reprised his role as the voice of Admiral Ackbar in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. He was also the voice for Jaba the Hutt’s steward, Bib Fortuna.

His manager says he died Sunday at his Bakersfield, California home.
