Thousands remembering his life, his career and his character sharing clips from his appearances on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,’ and his HBO sitcom the “Larry Sanders Show.”

Others tweeting quotes from his skits, like “nice guys finish first. If you don’t know that, then you don’t know where the finish line is.”
