Erin Andrews Wins $55 Million in Hotel Peephole Lawsuit
A verdict in, holding two hotels partially responsible for secret videos of sportscaster Erin Andrews.
FOX’s Gurnal Scott reports:
Erin Andrews has been awarded $55 million for an invasion of her privacy. A Nashville jury deliberated for only one day.
During emotional testimony at trial, Andrews accused two hotel chains of placing a stalker in the room next to hers, allowing him to film her naked from a small opening in a door.
Andrews says the result of the incident was depression and public humiliation. The former owner of one of the hotels, the Marriot at Vanderbilt, says the stalker, Michael David Barrett, should bear sole responsibility for the video shot back in 2008.
