Johnny Manziel Domestic Violence Case Sent to a Grand Jury
A new development in accusations against quarterback Johnny Manziel.
FOX’s Chris Hoenig has the latest:
The domestic violence case against Johnny Manziel has been referred to a Grand Jury in Dallas, which will decide whether the troubled quarterback will face formal charges for allegedly attacking his now-ex-girlfriend in January, hitting her so hard that she says she was temporarily deaf in one ear, before threatening to kill them both.
Manziel’s continued hard-partying ways appear set to cost him his spot on the Cleveland Browns:
(Jackson) “I think his future on our team will be addressed here pretty soon. That behavior will not be tolerated. Our organization’s gonna take a stand and we’re going to move on from those kinds of situations.”
New Browns coach Hue Jackson. Police are asking the district attorney to recommend misdemeanor domestic violence charges in this case, which can carry up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
