Priest in Philadelphia Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison on Child Sexual Exploitation Charges

A former Philadelphia area Priest sentenced following his conviction on child sexual exploitation charges.

    FOX’s John Saucier reports:

56-year-old Mark Haynes of West Chester, Pennsylvania, sentenced to 20 years in prison. Haynes, a former priest at St. Simon and Jude’s Church in West Chester, pleaded guilty to using the internet to entice a minor to engage in sexual conduct.

He also pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor and possession and distribution of child pornography.

Prosecutors say Haynes posed as a 15-year-old girl on Instagram. He’d then meet young teenage girls online, engage in sexual chats, send them child pornography images in the hopes of getting them to send sex sexual photos of themselves.
