‘Star Wars’ Prosecuted over Harrison Ford Injury
‘Star Wars’ producers facing criminal charges after a movie star was hurt during filming in Britain.
FOX’s Simon Owen reports from the European bureau:
Harrison Ford thrilled ‘Star Wars’ fans by returning as Han Solo in the latest movie, but an accident with a hydraulic door during filming for the ‘Force Awakens’ left Ford with serious injuries, including a broken leg.
Now movie production company Foodles, which is owned by ‘Star Wars’ owner Disney, is to be prosecuted by British health-and-safety authorities on four charges of breaching safety regulations. It could be fined.
The company saying cast and crew safety is always a top priority. And it’s disappointed in the decision.
