Top Military Brass Believe It’s Time for Women to Register for the Draft

Some top military brass are telling lawmakers it’s time for women to register for the draft.

FOX’s Jill Nado is in Washington with that story:

At a Senate hearing on getting women integrated into U.S. combat forces, Marine Corps General Robert Neller tells lawmakers:

(Neller) “Every American who’s physically qualified should register for the draft.”

But Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Army Acting Secretary Patrick Murphy would only say that the idea of drafting women needs to be discussed more.

The American military is still an all volunteer force, just like it has been since the draft ended back in the 1970’s. But men do have to register in case the draft has to be reactivated.
