Super Bowl Superstitions
Super Bowl superstitions already out in force.
FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:
(Kubiak) “We’re going to stay committed to our routine that we’ve used throughout the year.”
Except for one routine: Coach Gary Kubiak’s Broncos, the designated home team, will be wearing their road white uniforms for Super Bowl 50 and they have plenty of good reasons to do it.
Denver is 0-4 wearing their home orange jerseys in Super Bowls, 1-1 in white. 10 of the last 11 Super Bowl winners wore white and Peyton Manning’s one win in three Super Bowls came wearing white with the Indianapolis Colts. Denver is 6-2 in those white uniforms this season.
Carolina is going with their black jerseys, which could also be good luck: In the Panthers only previous trip to the Super Bowl, they wore white. They lost.
Oh, and if the Panthers go with black pants, it’ll be the first-ever all-white versus all-black Super Bowl.
