Missouri College Professor Charged with Third-Degree Assault

A Missouri college professor who had an infamous run-in with a journalist during a protest is now facing charges.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

Melissa Click will go to court for what went viral:

(Click) “You need to get out.”

That was the University of Missouri professor’s confrontation with a journalist shooting video of a November protest:

(Click) ” You need to get out. (Reporter) No I don’t. (Click) You need to get out. (Reporter) I actually don’t.”

    Click then asked for help:

(Click) “Hey who wants to help me get this reporter out of here, I need some muscle over here.”

That got a lot of views on YouTube amid the racially-charged protests that led the university’s president to resign.

Click was charged Monday with third-degree assault. A judge would decide if she’s guilty and if that happens the Columbia city prosecutor’s office says Click would likely be fined.
