Somalia Cuts Ties with Islamic Republic

    Another country is shunning Iran in the Saudi Arabia controversy that has Iran retaliating.

    FOX’s Jessica Golloher with details from the Mideast bureau:

    Somalia is the latest country to join a list of three Saudi allies to cut ties with the Islamic Republic.

    Iran is fighting back by banning imports from Saudi Arabia; Imports from Riyadh are around $60-million a year and consist mostly of textiles and packing materials.

    Saudi’s posts in Iran were burned and attacked after the kingdom executed 47 people, including a prominent Shiite cleric.

    Iran considers Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr a martyr. He was instrumental in organizing minority Shiite protests in the kingdom during the Arab spring.
