‘One Day at a Time’ Star Pat Harrington Jr. Dead at 86
Pat Harrington Jr. the snarky handyman on the 70’s sitcom ‘One Day at a Time’ has died.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
Pat Harrington Jr., who played Schneider on ‘One Day at a Time,’ has died, his daughter posted on Facebook that the 86-year-old died Wednesday, two months after posting that he had Alzheimer’s disease.
His co-star from the series, Valerie Bertanelli tweeted, “He always made me laugh.” With a broken heart emoji.
(Harrington) “Hey sex symbol how ya doing with the quarterback?”
Harrington Jr. hit it big as a comedian in the 50’s, but it was his stint as the beloved superintendent Schneider in the Bonnie Franklin led show that won him the hearts of many. Bursting into Ann Romanos’ apartment forever in blue jeans matching vest with a white-t underneath and Clark Gable mustache.
