World’s Largest Organ Ready to Be Played Again

It’s considered the world’s largest musical instrument and it needs some tender, love, and care.

    FOX’s Carmen Roberts explains:

No one’s heard the pipe organ in Atlantic City at full power since a hurricane damaged it in 1944… But even at 25%, it’s a force many music aficionados can appreciate.

The 150-ton organ with 33,000 pipes is tucked away behind walls at Boardwalk Hall, famous for the Miss America Pageant.

The Historic Organ Restoration Committee hopes to have the pipe organ back to 50% power by summer and while no recording exists from the organ’s glory days, organists everywhere should be prepared to be amazed.
