President Obama held his year end news conference on Friday.
FOX's Jon Decker has that story from the White House:
In his final press conference of the year, the President sought to assure Americans once again that authorities are doing all they can to prevent another terrorist attack.
But he acknowledged that law enforcement can only do so much...
(President Obama) "It is very difficult for us to detect lone-wolf plots or plots involving a husband and wife in this case."
Separately, the President promised that he will not act unilaterally to close the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba... But he suggested that if Congress rejects his plan, he may use his executive authority to close it on his own.
