U.S. Airstrikes Kill ISIS Head in Libya

Confirmation from the Pentagon that Abu Nabil, the head of ISIS in Libya is dead.

FOX News’ Jon Decker reports from the White House:

A Pentagon spokesman has confirmed that Abu Nabil, an Iraqi national and former al-Qaeda operative, was killed in an American airstrike. This was the first airstrike against an ISIS leader in Libya.

The strike by an F-15 fighter jet took place shortly after the Paris terrorist attacks were underway, but had been planned for some time.

Nabil may have been the spokesman in the video of the February 2015 mass killings of Coptic Christians in Libya.

A Pentagon spokesman said Nabil’s death will degrade ISIS objectives in Libya, including recruiting new ISIS members,
